COVID RESTRICTIONS IN PLACE FROM THURSDAY 5TH NOVEMBER

Following the governments decision to impose further Covid 19 restrictions from midnight on Wednesday 4th November, we are writing to confirm that all grassroots football will pause for 4 weeks from this date. The FA have today released the following statement confirming and explaining this decision. Clearly, this is hugely disappointing for all of us involved in grassroots sport but as a club, we also recognise the importance of ensuring that we comply with the restrictions and help to keep our players safe.

All West Bridgford Colts organised training sessions and matches will therefore be cancelled from Thur 5th November until Wednesday 2nd December (inclusive). Training sessions and matches can continue up to and including Wednesday 4th November.

As part of this years registration process we explained that the Club would review our monthly subscription payments if further restrictions were placed on our ability to provide training and matches. We therefore confirm that parents can cancel December subs payment to reflect the cancellation of November football. We would ask that even if your November payment is still due to go out, you cancel your December payment so we can more easily reconcile payments. Please can all parents ensure that the January standing order remains in place as we expect to be able to recommence football in December. If parents choose not to cancel their December subs, then the money will be used to help cover our fixed costs during this period.

On behalf of the Club we would like to thank all of our members for their support and I’m sure we all hope that we can return to playing football as soon as possible.

Regards
Peter Stansbury

On behalf of WBC Trustees and Management Committee
